About

Hello and welcome to my home. A lovely 1930 semi detached house with a private garden in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 minutes from Bristol city centre, with easy access to the ring road and M32/M4, and good public transport links; yet close to open spaces and the countryside. There is space for one car on the driveway, (my red car lives there too!) and free parking on the street There are gardens in the front and back of the house. If you like outdoors there are lots of green spaces close by.

Good to know

There are two bedrooms both with comfy king sized beds, and both have lots of storage for your things. There is a cosy separate lounge with a TV, and a kitchen/dining/living area which opens out to the garden I am sorry but my home is not safe or suitable for infants or children There are gardens in the front and back of the house. I love nature so parts of the back garden are left wild, we sometimes get visits from squirrels, foxes and occasionally badgers. There is also a good sized mown section for you to enjoy, and a patio with a table and chairs for your morning cup of coffee, or evening drink. If you like to get outdoors, as well as the private garden, there are lots of green spaces close by, Page Park is less than 5 minutes walk away, Bristol and Bath Railway Path and Rodway Common just a bit further on. Downend with its many shops, pubs and restaurants is about 10 minutes walk away, and Staple Hill, with more shops and pubs, is about 10 minutes the other way It’s a 5 minute drive to the ring road, a 7 minute drive to Bristol and Bath Science Park and 10 minutes drive to a large supermarket. Bristol Parkway station is 15 minutes drive, Bristol Temple Meads is 20 minutes and there are two bus stops within minutes of the house

Other Details to Note

For safety reasons please do not go beyond the mown section of the garden, or onto the side patio. The house is not suitable for children, thank you for your understanding.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

There are many pubs and restaurants in the area, if you go out of the front door and turn right you are going towards Downend (north on the map below), if you turn left you are going towards Page Park, the Railway Path and Staple Hill (the railway path is shown by the green line south of Page Park at the bottom of the map below, you can access it from Signal Road) If you head to Page Park for a walk, a good place to stop for coffee is the Bean Tree café in the park itself. If you are going into Downend, the Beehive coffee house is the one I prefer. Eating out locally I tend to go to Downend where there are several restaurants, the Tamarind (Indian), Italb (Italian) and the Green Dragon (Mezze) are all usually good. For pub grub, both the Duck and Willow, and The Horseshoe pubs in Downend are worth a try, the Horseshoe also sometimes has live music. For supermarkets there is a small Sainsburys and a larger Co-op in Downend, and a Tescos in Staple Hill. For a really big shop there is a huge Sainsburys in Emersons Green Retail Park (about 10 minute drive).

Guest access

There is a third bedroom which is being used for storage so will be closed and not accessible for guests.

There are several different bus routes that take you into Bristol city centre. Bus stops are on the main road just down from the Beehive Coffee House in Downend, and on South View road in Staple Hill (the road which runs along the north side of Page Park). The bus stop near Page Park is closer but you get more buses going through Downend.
